What this notice covers

This notice explains the information processed when you browse LexNush, contact the editorial team, subscribe to updates, or use a protected staff area. It applies to this website and the services used to operate it.

Information you provide

Contact inquiries. When you use the contact form, LexNush receives your name, email address, topic, message, and submission time. Please do not send confidential case papers, privileged communications, identity documents, financial details, or other sensitive material through the public form.

Newsletter subscriptions. When you subscribe, LexNush records your email address, subscription source, status, and relevant confirmation or unsubscribe times. An address remains pending until the confirmation link is used.

Direct correspondence. If you email LexNush, the contents of your message and normal email metadata are processed so the team can review and respond to it.

Technical and security information

Hosting, security, and rate-limiting systems may process technical information such as an IP address, request time, requested page, browser or device information, and response status. LexNush also keeps limited administrative audit records for protected staff actions. This information is used to keep the service reliable, investigate errors, prevent abuse, and protect reader submissions.

How the information is used

• To display and maintain the website.
• To review and respond to inquiries, pitches, and correction requests.
• To confirm subscriptions, manage unsubscribe requests, and deliver requested publication emails.
• To prevent spam, enforce rate limits, secure staff access, diagnose failures, and maintain operational records.
• To understand aggregate readership patterns when a reader has chosen to allow optional analytics.
• To comply with applicable obligations and respond to valid legal requests.

Cookies and browser storage

Essential storage supports security, form protection, staff sessions, privacy choices, and the colour-theme preference. The privacy-choice cookie is stored for up to one year unless you remove it earlier. Optional analytics are not activated unless you select “Allow analytics.” You can reopen the privacy choices at any time through Cookie Preferences in the footer.

Blocking essential cookies or browser storage may prevent some preferences, protected areas, or forms from working correctly.

Service providers

LexNush uses service providers to run specific parts of the website. These currently include Render for hosting and managed infrastructure, Resend for transactional email, and Google Fonts for type delivery. Google Analytics may be used only after analytics consent. Cloudflare Turnstile may be used to check public form submissions, and Sentry may be used for error monitoring, when those services are enabled.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices and may operate infrastructure in more than one country. LexNush does not sell reader information or share it for unrelated advertising.

Retention

The website is configured with a 365-day review period for operational records. Administrators can purge stale contact records and never-confirmed newsletter signups as part of that process. Confirmation links normally expire after three days. Active confirmed subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Some security, audit, backup, or legal records may need to be kept for a different period.

Retention is reviewed against operational need, security, reader requests, and applicable requirements. A request to delete an active newsletter address will also end the subscription.

Your choices and requests

You may unsubscribe through a link in a publication email. You may also ask LexNush to provide access to, correct, or delete information associated with you, or to consider an objection concerning its use. A request may require reasonable verification before action is taken, and some information may need to be retained where required or permitted.

Children

LexNush is a general legal publication and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the website, contact the editorial team so the request can be reviewed.

Security

LexNush uses HTTPS in production, protected staff access, server-side validation, CSRF protection, rate limits, restricted data access, and security headers. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so readers should avoid sending sensitive case material through public forms or ordinary email.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated when the website, its providers, or its information practices change. The date at the top will be revised when a new version is published. Material changes will be communicated in a proportionate way through the website or relevant publication channel.
